Sponsorship

Everything in this project is free: the .vssx stencils, the per-icon SVG files, and the PNG renders, all 486 of them including the -DM dark-mode variants. The assets are published directly in the public repository, in the SVG/ and PNG/ folders, with a convenient Visio-Cisco-Assets-V1.zip at the repo root. There is no paid tier and no gated content.

Why this project exists

Visio-Cisco and its sibling project Visio-Azure are built and maintained by one person. Both projects share the same programmatic pipeline: a cross-platform Python toolchain that scans vendor artwork, normalises and scales it, emits Visio OOXML directly, and verifies every master against a fixed search contract on every build. No Visio install required, no manual icon touching, deterministic output.

What sponsorship funds

Maintaining the set takes real, recurring effort:

  • Regenerating stencils when Cisco refreshes its published icon library.
  • Fixing rendering bugs when gradient or clip-path patterns break under scaling.
  • Keeping search working as Visio changes its indexing behaviour.
  • Keeping the Visio-Azure sibling project running in parallel.

Sponsorship supports both projects. Any amount helps, whether monthly or a one-off contribution.

Where to find the assets

The per-icon files are in the public repository alongside the stencils:

  • SVG/ folder: 486 individual .svg files, normalised and scaled, including -DM dark-mode variants.
  • PNG/ folder: 486 .png renders at 20 mm icon size at 300 DPI, aspect preserved, DPI-tagged so they insert at the correct physical size.
  • Visio-Cisco-Assets-V1.zip: the full asset set in a single download at the repo root.

Thank you

If these stencils save you time in network documentation, please consider supporting the upkeep. It keeps both projects alive and up to date.
